Thank you @ChaiTurtle. It looks like you're having a similar issue to @\rapono. But in your case, you're on a desktop computer, which may give us an opportunity to troubleshoot.

Are you familiar with your browser's developer/web console? (Access with CTRL + Shift + K)

It would be very helpful to know if the console reports any error messages when you reload a page containing a dither effect.

It's also possible that your Firefox performance settings are not set to"Use hardware acceleration when available".

Am I correct to assume you don't have access to the equivalent of a developer console on any of your phone browsers?

If you're not familiar with it already, a developer console is a common browser feature that provides lots of helpful feedback regarding the web page you're viewing. It would be very useful to know if it's reporting any specific errors.

Hi @Soulthreads! While we don't (and can't) moderate what someone does on a different platform, in order to post links to that platform (or third-party account) on our website, the content needs to be in line with our rules.

This means that it's not okay post links on our site that connects players from our site to offsite content containing what would be rule violations here, like profanity (aka, swearing).

In other words, what you do on your platform(s) is your business, but when you link to it on our platform, that action makes it our business. I hope this helps!

It looks like the effect may struggle with very low opacity pixels. We will look into this, although it's possible that some effects will simply not play nice with every possible apparel or accent.

The dither effect uses some newer tricks to work, so it's possible we're running into an unknown compatibility issue. Can you provide more details on your phone model? We would also like to know if it works as expected when you can check on a desktop - I suspect it will.

I was able to replicate the issue and I've sent this over to the art team. These stray pixels have always existed, but the new effects system have brought them to light.

Multi-player games are not an option, but thank you for the suggestion!

The April Fool's event does not involve a new breed of dragon.

Games like Baldur's Gate 3, the Fallout series, Dragon Age, the horror genre, etc are out. For possible future games off the top of my head, I have Rune Factory 4, Ori and the Blind Forest, My Time at Sandrock, and The Oregon Trail (2022). I also have Might & Magic 7, where I could happily play Arcomage for hours if left to my own devices, but there are parts of the overall series that have not aged well.

April Fool's Day is tomorrow, Tuesday April 1. Remember to check your Account Settings and set your preferences accordingly!

Don't worry, while we're reminding everyone in advance, you can change your toggle setting at any time after the event begins. Hi everyone — if someone you've blocked is able to acquire dragons from you despite being blocked, please report them to Support via Contact Us.

Using a third-party or multi-accounting to circumvent blocks falls under Harassment, can also be a Terms of Use violation, and is actionable. Please be sure to use the email address registered to your account and include links to any accounts and dragons involved when making your report. Thank you.

@Kaifloof, I think you've found a bug. In my actual signature code, it does link to my profile. When you click on it via my signature though, it's stripping out my username. Interesting. You can get the link to my profile in this thread here though, Cozy Stream for Dragons.

lol hype is fine, as long as folks keep an open mind.

The issue is when hype turns into rigid expectations for a hoped for or specific release/update/content. When the event/update turns out to be something else, disappointment and even resentment can set in, which is detrimental to both yourself and communities in general.

So hype responsibly, keep an open mind, and if the event/update isn't your cup of tea (which is 100% valid!), there's always the April Fool's toggle in your Account Settings to turn it off for your account. @RadiumRadz

@Fujiko18, nope! If that's what we meant, we would have communicated that in plain language.

Some community members have been very clear in the past they don't like disruptions or pranks. The April Fool's Event starts at 06:00 server time, Tuesday April 1st. We're making sure everyone has ample time to set the toggle to their preferred setting before the event kicks off
